Cobra X, left, and Cobra S, right.

Portable 3D capture with standard RTK and a choice of LiDAR sensors.

Combine LiDAR, multi-view cameras and IMU data to document indoor and outdoor environments. Preview coverage on the integrated display, then process colorized point clouds with MX-Fusion.

Choose your configuration

One platform. Two scanner versions.

Choose Cobra S for a lighter setup with a broad vertical field of view, or Cobra X for Hesai sensor configurations with higher point rates.

Livox Mid360

Cobra S

1.28 kg, a 360° × 59° field of view and 200,000 points per second. The catalog lists a 40 m range, corresponding to Livox’s 10% reflectivity sensor specification.

Hesai XT16 / XT32

Cobra X

1.92 kg with 360° horizontal coverage. Choose XT16 at 320,000 points per second or XT32 at 640,000 points per second, with a standard sensor range of up to 120 m.

Evaluate Cobra X →

Need a longer-range configuration? Discuss an XT32M module for Cobra X. Hesai lists XT32M at up to 300 m; final scanner configuration and performance must be confirmed when ordering.

Built for field capture

5-inch AMOLED display

Review point-cloud coverage and scan completeness on a 960 × 544 touchscreen.

Low-light cameras

Multi-view cameras provide 25.2 MP in total for texture capture in challenging lighting.

Standard RTK

RTK positioning joins LiDAR, IMU and camera data in the Cobra capture workflow.

Static and rotational scanning

Choose static, rotational or specified-angle scanning. The forward-facing LiDAR layout keeps the display within view.

MX-Fusion processing

Turn field data into colorized point clouds.

MX-Fusion combines LiDAR, IMU, positioning and image data. Its processing workflow includes SLAM optimization, global alignment, outlier removal, registration and color balancing.

Export LAS, LAZ, E57 and PLY point clouds, with 3D Gaussian splatting output available through the supported software workflow.

Cobra questions

What is the difference between Cobra S and Cobra X?

Cobra S uses Livox Mid360 and weighs 1.28 kg. Cobra X uses a Hesai XT16 or XT32 configuration and weighs 1.92 kg. Compare their field of view, point rate and range in the specification table.

Is RTK standard?

Yes. RTK positioning is standard on Cobra S and Cobra X. Positioning results depend on the available corrections and field conditions.

Which formats does MX-Fusion export?

The Cobra catalog lists LAS, LAZ, E57 and PLY colored point clouds, plus 3D Gaussian splatting output through the supported software workflow.

Can I evaluate a sample before selecting a configuration?

Yes. Download the Cobra S Mid360 sample scan, or request a demonstration matched to your environment and deliverables.

Does standard Cobra X have a 300 m range?

The standard XT16 and XT32 sensors are specified by Hesai at up to 120 m. A 300 m sensor range applies to XT32M. Discuss the module and complete scanner configuration with ModeXion if you need that option.
